Aortic Flow Modelling

We have developed a standardised Computational Fluid Dynamics pipeline, based on clinical echocardiography and computed tomography data – including automated medical image processing, patient-specific model generation, flow simulation, and post-processing and analysis – to simulate turbulent aortic flow in individual aortic stenosis patients undergoing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), as part of the QMUL-Bart’s NIHR BRC.
